Hotel Wraveler Inn Rishikesh

I recently stayed at wraveler inn, and it was one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had! The staff was super friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed, from giving directions to recommending cool local spots. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The common areas had a relaxed, social atmosphere — perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The location was spot on, close to public transport and some amazing attractions. If you're looking for an affordable, comfortable, and social place to stay, I highly recommend go-stop tapovan Can't wait to come back!

Suwasis, the employee who cleaned the rooms was extremely helpful, friendly, diligent and thorough. Nice, large room, plenty of cupboard space, clean room, and a large balcony. Best views from rooms 201-203.

The other employees mainly positioned at reception were tethered to their phones. Some more friendly engagement would better guests’ experience. Construction site right there. But is there anywhere in Tapovan that doesn’t have that issue? The rooftop restaurant would come alive every night from 10pm, with people dragging chairs and slamming doors. The walls are thin and I needed earplugs to try to block it out. First floor rooms would have views of neighbouring buildings, but may be a little quieter at night, due to the above.

Our recent stay at Wraveler Inn was, unfortunately, a far cry from relaxing. Located off the beaten path, the remote location wouldn't have been a dealbreaker if it weren't for the lack of a proper driveway. We had to lug our suitcases through a rough, sandy area just to reach the entrance. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no elevator, making the climb to our room with heavy luggage quite a chore. Inside, the room itself was small, with an uncomfortable mattress. View from the balcony was truly terrifying. Additionally, hot water was a precious commodity. We had to wait at least 10 minutes for the boiler to heat up, and even then, the limited capacity meant only one person could enjoy a truly hot shower before waiting again. But the biggest frustration came with the hotel staff. We had booked a two-night stay through Booking.com, but due to changes in our plans, we requested a one-night stay only a day in advance. Booking.com confirmed the request was "awaiting confirmation from the property." However, with no response before arrival, we showed the message to the receptionist during check-in and verbally confirmed the shortened stay. They seemed agreeable at the time. The following morning, during checkout, we received a hefty cancellation fee. When we questioned it, explaining the previous day's agreement, the receptionist claimed we hadn't informed them "in advance." Despite showing the Booking.com confirmation and explaining our conversation, they insisted we had no proof and demanded payment. We ultimately paid the fee just to escape the situation. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this place ever again.
