DOMINA Guest House

This was my first time at this property. I highly recommend prior to a flight at FCO. I often stay a night prior to flying and I will now always check the available here first.

We only stayed for 1 night as we needed a bed before we headed to civitavecchia for our cruise. The hotel is close to the airport. Very clean and a great stay for us for what we needed.

We stayed at Domina in June 2025 for 5 nights as a couple. The apartment is part of a family house in a residential neighborhood, yet it feels very private. The room was spacious, full of natural light, and very comfortable. It was thoughtfully furnished with everything you might need: a closet, mirrors, good lighting, a comfortable bed, and well-placed shelves for books, phone chargers, or your nightly routine. There was also a pull-out chair, perfect for sitting while putting on shoes, placing your belongings, or accommodating a third person as a bed. The bathroom was big and spacious, with a shower. One of the most amazing things about this place is how incredibly clean it is! Our pillowcases were changed daily, the bathroom was sanitized every day, and the towels were exceptionally soft and clean – they were changed twice during our stay. We had three towels each, which was more than enough. You’ll find everything you need in the bathroom: soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, small toothbrushes, toothpaste, a shower cap, intimate wash, cotton pads, and even a small sewing kit. This level of attention to detail truly amazed me! The only downside is that there’s no sink in the kitchen area. However, there is a fridge stocked with water, sparkling water, various juices, and morning snacks like croissants, packaged pastries, Nutella, jam, toast… and very good coffee! That's all folks 😊

The only downside is that there's no sink in the kitchen. The location was a little tricky to figure out, or maybe we just didn’t find the way. But it’s worth mentioning that public transportation is very comfortable. You can choose from different types of tickets and find the option that suits your trip best.

This was my first time staying in a guest house—and I absolutely loved it. I had just come from a 4-star hotel in Rome, and the difference was night and day. The guest house was spotless, thoughtfully prepared, and had everything anyone could possibly need. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and I had one of the best nights’ sleep of my trip. The place is 17 minutes away from the airport, so its great if you want to spend overnight layover. Sadly, many hotels in Rome seem to have become overused and neglected. My recent stay at a 4-star hotel was honestly disappointing—it wasn’t clean, and it felt like quality control was long forgotten. What I really appreciated about this guest house is that the owner is directly involved and clearly cares about maintaining high standards. That personal touch makes all the difference, and it shows.

The location is far from Rome. Wouldnt be my first choice if I was attempting to spend everyday in Rome.

It was very well equipped, from shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers in the shower to snacks, coffee (Nespresso machine), water and juices in the communal area. The shower by the way is amazing.

It’s a bit awkward (expansive and lo g waiting times) to get to and from the airport to the guest house.
