Walawa Reach hotel

fantastic room, beautiful pool , breakfast & evening meal were fabulous , the location was surrounded by wildlife , amazing hotel, wonderful hosts , we have a wonderful time on a jeep safari in the reserve nearby , couldn't fault it

It was really comfortable and the staff, food are really good. The swimming pool was really clean.

There were a couple spiders that went though the crack of the door. Other than that it was a beautiful property

Amazing value for money in a huge clean, air conditioned room. Delicious, huge breakfast too.

Bathroom needs a little bit of work, has a broken toilet seat and cupboard. Very clean though.

Great location for elephant safari. The room was spacious and clean and the bed had a good mosquito net. Very nice clean pool was lovely after travelling round on a jeep. Good food and friendly and attentive staff.

Room was ok, bathroom not, water everywhere after the shower

The owner was pushy about selling Safari, dinner and breakfast. He was not amused that we did not use these services

Great value for money! We especially enjoyed the pool, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of safari. The location is ideal, very close to the safari entrance, which is a big advantage, even tough all the safari drivers come and pick up the guests in a lot of hotels (further too) The food was also a highlight: the meals were very hearty and quite diverse, which we really appreciated. The couple running the place was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

However, there are a few downsides to mention: the bathroom could have used a tool to help drain the water more easily. The bed was very squeaky, which made sleeping a bit difficult. We also noticed some cobwebs, stains on the sheets, and a torn mosquito net. Additionally, we found the meals a bit expensive compared to the room price, especially since there weren’t many dining options nearby. The owners were well aware that we would likely eat there.
