Maliba River Lodge

We stayed in a family chalet at the bottom of the hill, which had more than enough space for two couples and a child. A small creek ran behind the chalet, perfect for a refreshing morning wade. The restaurant was cozy, with delicious food and beautiful views. This was a special place, and we hope to return someday—and stay a little longer.

This location is awesome but it's better you plan a stay of several days to really enjoy the natural surroundings. The mountain views from the chalet is amazing. Breakfast was served at the main building which is a short walk from the chalet. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended with ground quite rocky and sometimes steep. As the last guest to check in for the day, the gates closed for the night as soon as I arrived and there are no other eateries nearby. But the kitchen staff made an amazing, unexpected gesture after checking out, apologizing for not being able to make any food upon my arrival. They presented me with a gift bag of food and snacks which was really thoughtful and caring of them. Quite impressive! I'll definitely visit this place again for a longer stay.

Dining options were non-existent once the restaurant closed at 9:30 pm. I arrived for check-in after 10:30 pm and the kitchen was no longer open. Arrive early or bring food if you will be checking in late.

The cottages were beautiful and super large. During dinner they light the fire place, so nice to come back to a cozy room. Dinner was really good and the massages were a bliss. Stunning hiking trails, outside terrace with beautiful views for breakfast

The dining room is very steril and not comfortable Breakfast was good on second night as there was a group, the first morning Breakfast was not great, nothing was offered except 1 main dish, so we felt cheated as of course we paid for both nights the same! The hiking trail from the river up to the lodge need better signs and maintenance....we got lost totally

Absolutely astounding beauty. The setting is simply incomparable. The accommodation is great too. But the location is just so good for the soul.

The double bed was a bit small. Other than that, it was perfect
