Casa Azul

The little Casita that we stayed in was private, clean and fully screened in. Had a little outside kitchenette and Carla brought us a hot plate & pans so we could do a little cooking. The bed was comfortable. Fans were provided. Zoila, the cleaning lady was very accommodating and Caesar, the maintenance guy was really nice. Great little pool for cooling off in the afternoon. Close proximity to the main road - down a steep hill. Walking distance to Mazunte. Had our pet fix as there were a few cats around that came and visited as well as Carla and her dog. ❤️ Would definitely recommend Casa Azul.

There are only a couple things but one that has nothing to do with Casa Azul and that's the mosquitos... It is just because the Casita is on the ground floor and shady. As well - the Casita does not have A/C so it can get quite hot but they did give us 2 fans so they did help alot!

Sweet little room, mosquito free and with a great ceiling fan! Made all the difference in the hot nights.

Great to be off the main road but the walk and drive up and down was a bit rough.

Super location with view to the sea from our bungalow. Large terrace with hammock and several chairs. Less than 5 min to very beautiful beach. Helpful hints in the information folder. Clean swimming pool. Quiet and peaceful. Mosquito screens at all windows and door.

A/C had been nice (were hot days), but we could sleep also with the fans.

The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had the supplies that we needed, the pool was small, but adequate, and generally things were clean. The view was spectacular. It was just a short walk to the beaches. The property felt very safe. It was quiet at night. Carla, the property manager was easily accessible for any issues that we had.

The bathroom does not have a separate area, so if you are self-conscious with your partner, it might not feel comfortable. It did not really bother us. The price ended up being higher than our budget because from the time of booking until the time my credit card was charged, our Canadian dollar fell in comparison to the peso. can’t blame the property for that though.

I loved the ambience and overall generous atmosphere of Casa Azul! Isidor the caretaker was attentive while respecting privacy! The owner , Carla, popped in to introduce herself and welcome! I felt safe and at home at Casa Azul!

At first I found the instructions and signage plus the hill to climb a bit daunting, but once established I really can’t think of anything to criticize! The overhead fan was powerful! I’d turn it offff for sleeping! I had one very shy iguana as a companion!

Casa Azul is a wonderful place; we stayed in the Marina apartment there. While the photos on their website are lovely, it was nicer in person due to the large patio, the view, the sounds of the ocean, and close proximity to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped and roomy, and overall it was great to relax there.

With booking this accommodation we hit the jackpot! We arrived in the night so we went straight to bed. The beds are comfortable and the windows all have mosquito nets. The next day we saw the stunning ocean view from the terrace and were blown away 😍 The kitchen was nicely equipped and thd showers worked well. The pool was always clean and there was always someone around to help if we had any issues or questions. The accomodation is very close to the beach and there is various cafés and restaurants around. Mazunte is just a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute ride with the collectivo away. If we ever come back to San Augustinillo we will definitely stay here again.
