GBI met the nicest people ever there
It’s very quiet sometimes, which suits some people, but not others
ITGBMy wife and I were the only foreigners staying there, they had some Filipino groups staying some of the nights otherwise we were by ourselves. The food was good Filipino food. The staff were friendly although their English was limited. The view from the beachside seats was very nice. For what we paid we have no complaints. We had been travelling for 5 months before this, this was luxury compared to some places and 7 nights in one bed!
This is not a criticism but some observation for others who may follow. The accommodation was basic but comfortable, no hot water but not a problem for us, The area around the beachside looks like a building site dumping ground and access to the beach is not easy. The swimming pool was good but tired looking also the paving surroundings. There is no on site shop, hire a motorbike/sidecar taxi to go to local shops. There is parking but we got a taxi to and from Manila airport 3 1/2hr journey each way.
