Ardmor Guest House

Cute room, easy stay for my single night in Oban. Easy access to the center of town for restaurants and shops, didn't attempt walking as the hill was a little daunting and it was pouring rain while I was there. Was able to easily find parking in the neighborhood. Gorgeous view of the harbor from my room.

Had to remember my keys to access my private bathroom across the landing and get back into my room in the middle of the night. One of those fun quirks of traveling and not a deal breaker!

I wanted more email communication about the details of our arrival and the booking itself. We received an email but wanted that email 3 or 4 more days before arrival as well as at a week before also. Other hotels did this and it gave us confidence in what to expect. Very important.

The "Guest House" experience was new to us, but enjoyable nonetheless. Having not yet connected to wifi to check my email, I hadn't seen the check-in instructions, so I was unsure at first if I was in the correct spot, but all was made clear and welcoming once I checked my email. Also, there were some spelling inconsistencies that slightly confused our navigation efforts. The location and view were perfect for what we wanted to get out of our visit to Oban.

The guest house high up on a hill, was an old manse clergy residence that had beautiful architectural highlights. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious and had a sitting area with gorgeous views of Oban looking out to the sea. I also had my own large private bathroom with full amenities. The owners (the DiCiacca's) were very friendly and treated me like a welcomed guest! Parking was available in front of the property and there was a pedestrian pathway with easy access down to Oban's town center around the shopping areas. Ardmor Seaview is centrally located just above the famous Oban Distillery which makes Oban a very walkable town for shopping, sightseeing and its famous local seafood. I would recommend this guest house for a very nice stay in Oban, especially for the value (there is no food served, but there are plenty of great options within a five-minute walk).

Beautiful vintage guest house on the hill - close to Oban tower - the view from our bedroom window was spectacular -worth every penny. The room itself was spacious and mega comfortable and allowed us to relax as we were having a 3 day holiday in Oban just having a nice chilled time.

The location was perfect, walking distance from the town's centre. The room was spacious and bathroom too. very clean and friendly owners. The view from the bedroom was outstanding. Coffee machine and fridge in the room as well.

Pity they do not offer breakfast!
