Good standard of the room, kitchen and bathroom and all.

No private bathroom as it was advertised. Was told that “this is your bathroom” (although separated from your bedroom but) “for your use only” (which is not a definition of private bathroom”) ..on top of that it was used by someone else in the house. I’m not picky or “complaining person” - just when i search for options to stay I always look for “private bathroom” which means en suite bedroom (nothing more, noting less) ..”private bathroom for only you to use” (which was shared) is not within in the private bathroom (en suite room) concept ..I would not book if I knew these details !

Mr and Mrs Fern were incredibly welcoming and very easy to talk to. Dogs are really friendly but theyre were more than happy to keep them out of the way if you preferred.

The Fern family are just adorable and so kind and thoughtful. They helped us with Where to go and how. They just wanted to share their kitchen, their food, their time. We travel a lot, however we have rarely met such accommodating people.

Charles (French) had trouble deciphering Jordan’s Scottish accent 🤣.

Mr and Mrs Fern were so welcoming and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable.. A 2min walk out of the estate to a local pub who served delicious food. Sarah was still at home before we left. Attempted to say goodbye but didn't know where she was. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to enter and exit.Room.Off road parking for two cars and other parking a short distance.Green area over the way from the house for walking your dog. There are several pertrol stations on the road to Clacton if you want to top up locally. Also a petrol station just by the Harwich ferry terminal if your want to top up before or after visiting Holland.Small Morrisons or something similar there with the petrol station outside ferry port. Nice and clean and newly furnished room and bathroom. Houses are only a few years old I think.

Due to the UK nanny state, the window in the room is limited to open less than an inch,which makes the room very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in during warm and sunny weather.I would suggest an electric fan in each room during the Summer,if the window cannot set to open several inches more?
