Yamuna Guest House

The property was intentional. I stayed on the second floor and my villa faced the sunrise which is exceptional to watch between 6:00am to 6:30am. The rice terrace views are gorgeous! The family treated me with kindness and love, truly grateful I chose this property for my first stay in Bali.

This was an amazing place to stay in Ubud. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the place itself was so beautiful. So much room, so peaceful and the pool was lovely. The breakfast delivered personally every morning was so lovely.

Nothing to dislike! It is in a nature area so there are some bugs but nothing that bothered us and it’s a little drive out of town so not walkable but easy to get there by car.

I booked this place knowing it was a budget option, so I did not expect luxury at all. A simple, older room would have been no problem. However, the conditions we found went too far. The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell (possibly from dampness or mold), and the paint was peeling off the walls. The sliding door did not close properly and left a gap of several centimeters. In a tropical area with mosquitoes, centipedes, or even larger insects, this felt unsafe and unacceptable. There were already mosquitoes and flies inside when we arrived. Because of the smell and the door issue, we decided, respectfully, that we could not stay the night and left immediately to find another place. This was very disappointing, especially because the property looks much better online and has such high ratings. I do wonder if some of the other rooms are in better condition, since most reviews are so positive. On the positive side: the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we appreciate their kindness. The pool area also looked clean and well kept. But regardless of the low price, the room we received was unfortunately not acceptable to stay in.

This rental is spacious with a beautiful private balcony, adequate facilities, and it is like being part of a family. The owners and their relatives live in the front section of the complex and they will help you out with whatever you need, but otherwise leave you to your own devices. Easy scooter ride to Ubud. You can use the gocek app for a very reasonable fee.

A little spotty on cleaning sometimes but not a big deal.

Very comfortable and resourcing place in the rice fields. Staff is very kind. Thank you !
