Hacienda El Galeon

Location was great - walking distance to anything you'd want to do in Ensenada. Quiet building, great security. Parking was right in front. Clean, spacious room with everything we needed!

The only thing I'd mention is in the loft, there are technically 3 beds - one being a twin in the loft that was extremely hard to access. We didn't need the 3rd bed, so it was fine, but for a larger group or a longer stay, would have liked that pointed out.

Liked that we could sleep with the doors open. Don’t have to worry about anyone coming in to steal anything.

Just the shower head wasn’t working right. Might be the hard water plugging up the jets.

Our stay here was fantastic! I stayed with my family of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids). We stayed in the 2 bd rm apartment. It was more than enough room for all of us. The pool table was a plus! We stayed up playing several games. Not to mention the Bluetooth around the living room built inside the ceiling. The apartment came with everything from kitchen essentials to champagne glasses. The location is perfect and literally in the center of downtown. We were only a 3 minute walk to Bristro tu taza a nice little Cafe we went to every morning for coffee and breakfast. Across the street from us, we had some delicious fish tacos, which I recommend you visit. 8 minute walk to El Mercado Negro and only 5 minutes from the flag and Ensenada sign. Even though we were in the middle of a very busy street, we did not hear any loud music around us, which did not disturb our peace at all. Our hostess Heidi was absolutely amazing. She was quick to respond to my messages within 10-15 minutes and was very hospitable and helpful when I accidentally forgot the keys inside the apartment. She called someone right away, and within 30 minutes, someone came to my rescue 🙏. I highly recommend this place!

The only thing I didn't like was how cold the rooms were at night. This only meant I had to cuddle with my hubby, but if you're solo, then I suggest you bring extra blankets. Another thing is the parking is on the street. Thankfully we had parking 1 which is right in front of the entrance and with cameras but nothing happened to our car.

My family (husband, 7-year-old son, and 5-year-old daughter) and I recently enjoyed a 4-day stay at Hacienda El Galeón in Ensenada, Baja California. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and warmth of the place. The loft we stayed in boasts a charming boho chic decor with a delightful Mexican touch, offering both style and comfort. It felt like a home away from home. It was an absolute hit with the kids. They were thrilled with the upstairs bedroom, turning it into their little adventure zone. As a parent, seeing them so happy and entertained was a joy. The instructions provided for accessing our room were clear and detailed, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process. The hacienda is ideally situated, with a variety of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. This convenience significantly enhanced our stay, allowing us to explore the local area with ease.

Maybe the downstairs mattress could be a bit more comfortable maybe adding a memory foam top but that is just my preference, the mattress is perfectly fine.
