We’ve just spent five nights at Elim Rest Place, and leaving today honestly feels bittersweet. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome, and throughout our stay, that warmth and care never changed. The place itself is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, spacious, and perfectly set up to relax and unwind. The views from the room are stunning, especially the sunsets, which we looked forward to every evening. One of the highlights for us was seeing the wild horses passing by the guest house — such a special and unique experience that really added to the magic of Fisherhaven. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the hosts. They went above and beyond in every possible way. This wasn’t your typical self-catering stay — they provided thoughtful extras like cold drinks, coffee and cappuccinos, sparkling water, salt, sugar, body wash, dishwashing liquid, and so much more. It felt like everything had already been thought of. They were always available and willing to help with anything — even offering to do our laundry and helping us carry our luggage up the stairs! The space itself is also incredibly well-equipped: a big TV, plenty of room, a lovely pool, braai facilities, and even extra fridge space if needed. As an added bonus, our unit was also cleaned during our stay, which we really appreciated. We also really appreciated the personal touches. Their son spent time playing with our daughter, and my husband really enjoyed chatting and playing soccer with him. Our daughter especially loved the chickens on the property, which brought her so much joy. It made the whole experience feel even more homely and special. We had some car trouble on our first day, which was quite stressful, but the hosts were incredibly understanding and reassuring. They made sure we knew we wouldn’t lose our booking, and their kindness during that time meant so much to us.

Nice apartment, exactly as in the pictures. Everything seems new. Great beds. Clean and safe. Hosts are very nice.

Dining table is too small for this apartment which has 4 beds and fully equipped kitchen.
