Booking was cancelled as we were informed at 2AM on the morning of departure that the property was no longer available. An alternative property was offered, but this was several miles from the original location and not suitable. Looking at other reviews, this has happened numerous times for other guests and is clearly a scam.

The new property was nice overall, with a better location than the one here, much closer to the city centre. It was very cozy, well equipped and comfortable. Except for one of the beds which was very screechy when moving in bed. The bathroom was quite small. The host was also replying relatively in a timely manner on WhatsApp.

It feels weird to rate this property, because as the other reviewers have said, the property location has been changed extra last-minute for us too (3 hours before the actual check-in, due to “bed frames being broken”. I’m really wondering how many people have actually stayed here. Plus, I booked for 3 people, even though for 4 people Booking.com said that it was the same price. I announced the host that we were going to be 4 people instead of 3 and we were charged extra £120, after negotiating.

Come letto nelle recensioni, anche a noi all'ultimo è stata cambiata casa, questa cosa è alquanto fastidiosa. Proverei a ristrutturare il bagno perché piccolissimo

Ci è stata sostituita con un’altra casa rispetto a quella prenotata su Booking. La casa è molto spaziosa e dotata di tutti i comfort necessari, vicina al centro facilmente raggiungibile con i bus.

Il bagno con vasca molto datato. I letti abbastanza sfruttati e un po’ sfondati.

Come letto in altre recensioni l'oste ci ha cambiato l'appartamento all'ultimo momento, per fortuna è stata una ottima soluzione: salottino accogliente, letto della prima camera comodo, pulizia generale ottima e presenza dell'asciugatrice. Casa ampia, comoda e funzionale. Ottima la posizione.

Ingresso nel palazzo non molto curato. Il letto della camera principale era un po' più scomodo, il bagno non era molto grande, il lavandino abbastanza piccolo, ma funzionale. Belle le vetrate del salottino, peccato per i bidoni dell'immondizia proprio di fronte.

I booked the Edinburgh nest but received a message on the day of travel to say we couldn’t have the room we had booked and we had been upgraded to another property. The host was good and informed us of everything and the location of the property was great but I was slightly disappointed with the cleanliness. It didn’t look as nice as the one we had booked but a better location.

Wir haben relativ kurzfristig aber unkompliziert eine andere Unterkunft erhalten, da mit der gebuchten Wohnung ein Problem bestand (Bewertungen beziehen sich nicht auf The Edingburgh Nest). Die neue Wohnung war sehr großzügig und nur ca. 30 min zu Fuß von der Altstadt entfernt. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Restaurants. Arthurs Seat ist auch fußläufig gut erreichbar.

Das Badezimmer ist für große Menschen eine Herausforderung, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt absolut ok.
