Convento Senhora da Vitória

Café da manhã excelente, acomodações agradáveis e o Bruno muito simpático e gentil nos recebeu muito bem. É a terceira vez que me hospedo aqui e adoro!

Da decoração, do ambiente e do pequeno almoço. Tudo muito pitoresco e relaxante.

Como se trata de um antigo convento, é normal isolamento ser menor, ou seja, durante a noite ouvia-se os passos e outros movimentos com mais facilidade, mas nada que boa educação e cuidado de todos os hóspedes (que na minha opinião não tenho quaisquer queixa, durante a nossa estadia) fosse impeditivo de descansar e usufruir do espaço.

This accomodation is perfect for those who enjoy a quiet place in an historic building with a pretty walled garden to relax in. Our room was large and comfortably furnished with a canopy bed, over stuffed chairs, a dresser and coffe table. The bathroom was very large and included a dressing/luggage area. The water pressure was great. Both the room and bathroom had nice decor. The giesthouse iitself is fun to explore. The decoration and artwork is interesting in every room. There are several large lounge areas that welcome visitors to sit and chat. The breakfast was a highlight. Set in the garden in-between rows of olive trees, we were served beverages to our order, plus orange juice, and individual plates of fruits, bread with jam, cheese and tomato, scrambled eggs made fresh to order, and cake or cookies. The olive trees produced a nice amount of shade for lounging in the garden near the pool. We napped here on one of the many beds. The staff, Bruno, was very welcoming and attentive. He keeps the rooms clean as well as cooks and serves breakfast. He showed us around the property inside and out on our arrival. He also showed us the chappel. It was chilly our first night and when we went to bed the second night we found that Bruno had added an extra blanket to our bed while freshening our room. Thank you very much for the attention! We visited in the fall and the fig tree in the courtyard was loaded with ripe figs which were very delicious. Parking was very easy. The guesthouse has its own parking lot. We drove into town, but you could easily walk up the hill to it. There are a few nicer restaurants in town as well as several bakeries, bars, and such. There is a grocery store on one side of town and a gas station just out of town on the north side.

I liked everything. However, some of the furniture could use a little attention. The footboard on the bed in our room was broken and a cutting hazard as it is metal. The bedsprings were very squeaky in an almost comical way. One of the chairs had an unfortunate rip in the fabric. However, I found the bed to be very comfortable as well as the chairs.

Local excelente para descansar. Tranquilo, rodeado de natureza e com um 'staff' super simpático, principalmente os irmãos da Marinha Grande!
