Ivy House

The location was perfect as we went to Zip World twice and it was a five minute drive! We loved the decor in the house —an eclectic mix of gorgeous old antique furniture and antique tools, and modern decorations. Everything we needed was provided, and I had a lovely long chat with Phil. We solved all the world’s problems between us.

Everything was great. A clothes dryer would have been nice, but the drying rack worked out fine. The llama jigsaw puzzle was frustrating because the pieces could fit multiple places and it wasn’t apparent when they were in the wrong spot. But we did appreciate the puzzles and games.

Fantastic location for what we needed, hosts were friendly and helpful, let my little one feed the chickens too. The house was perfect and spacious for us, the gardens were great and there were lots of little extras such as TVs, games, etc

The house was beautifully restored, and in a good location - not far away from many Zipworld locations, close to Welsh castles and the coastline. Room enough for 2 cars and pet friendly. Helen and Phil were lovely hosts and even left us some biscuits and prosecco. The dining room also has a massive table - excellent for board games.

The kitchen is a little small for cooking in - better to have one person cooking otherwise you might fall over each other. It's well equipped, but might benefit from some scales. Otherwise it's great :)

Everything really. The beds were super comfy. All the facilities were very home from home. Beautiful rockery garden + pond with resident chickens. Inside decor was equally quirky and stylish TV's in all the bedrooms. Lovely location. Amazing & very friendly hosts

The attic room was initially a bit of a challenge. We kept bumping our heads on the beams overhead.And the cupboard/stable door toilet was a bit of a squeeze but a lot of unexpected fun!

Heating was controlled by owner and house was very cold on top floor. Cooker and fridge didn't work well Using dishwasher blocks entrance to kitchen. Its not a kitchen for 7 people. We had noticed it was small before going but the oven doesn't work well making it hard work to feed everyone and fridge froze the food Beautiful house, just needs some tweaks to make it more suitable for groups and warmer The owners could not have been more helpful but we would have liked the heat to come on in the morning and at 5am the day we were leaving as requested. It's difficult to have to ask for heat to come on when returning from a wet track and not knowing if will. Top rooms were perishing through the nights and to get up in the morning, and this was mid April (although we had thunderstorms). Beds were comfy.

Ivy House is an ideal base for Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon walkers. Bethesda is a great spot. Highly recommend:)

Super friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely cottage. Beds extremely comfortable and hosts are lovely. Very clean and cosey. Private parking was appreciated.

For us, the kitchen was a little small for a family of 7. The lounge furniture was quite uncomfortable and required updating. Top floor bedroom was lovely but ensuite was through another room and wasn't private.
