Green Elephant Cottages Uis

We hebben een hele fijne overnachting gehad bij de Green Elephant. We waren er slechts 1 nacht; maar Uis is een vrij goede uitvalsbasis voor diverse bezienswaardigheden in Namibia. We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen door Penny en Diana. In de avond stak Penny een vuurtje aan en even later kwam Diana met marshmallows en goede adviezen voor het vervolg van onze reis.

如果在酒店附近有明确的指路标志就更好了。

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Green Elephant. Diana and Penny took excellent care of us, including giving us a very warm-hearted welcome and taking us on a fun tour of Uis. We felt completely at home and can definetly recommend staying here!

What an absolute gem in the desert! Green Elephant Cottages is everything we hoped for and more. The cottage was spotless, beautifully styled with wildlife touches, and had every comfort we needed. We loved sitting on the veranda watching the sun set behind the Brandberg. The peace and quiet were soul-soothing. Our hosts were warm, helpful, and full of great local stories. We even spotted desert elephants nearby! Highly recommended—this is a true oasis in Uis

There was nothing I didn't like

Welcoming hosts, pretty design of the rooms. It would be good value for the money if all 4 of us stayed in one room as there is sofa available for 2 more kids.

Breakfast was on the weaker side, self serviced only cereals, yoghurt milk and some sweets. Pity an option to book one room for 2 adults and 2 kids was not available online.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft ruhig gelegen. Sehr groß und mit bester Ausstattung eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Besitzer Penny und Diana waren sehr freundlich und wir haben uns toll unterhalten, ein Lagerfeuer gemacht und wir haben zum ersten Mal in unserem Leben Marshmallows am Lagerfeuer gegrillt und dabei den Sternenhimmel mit der Milchstraße beobachtet, es war traumhaft. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt lieber Penny und liebe Diana.

The room was very comfortable (great bed) and thought had gone into providing all the small things that make life easier. Our host, Penny, was friendly, helpful and informative. The setting was great, with a wonderful view of the Brandberg.

Penny and Daina really went out of their way to make us feel at home. It felt like famalie. He took us on a drive to show us the town. Help us with our fire. Penny help us to fix our tyer which was a great plus.

Penny and Diana have been excellent hosts, they provided plenty of tips for our trip and helped us make beautiful memories through excellent photos under the stars. They really are committed to make your stay as best as possible. The cottage is big and fully equipped, very comfortable beds and the little outdoor fireplace to enjoy the sunset is a plus. The breakfast offered many choices and the coffee was excellent. the place is easy to reach and excellent for a couple of nights stay, strongly recommended! We will definitely come back.
