Villas Bukit Lipah

The accommodation was absolutely amazing, very comfortable and clean. The pool was lovely for a swim and the views are stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate quite a few meals at the restaurant and they were all delicious and home made .

The location is remote. The trip up and down the hill was a little scary. The resort driver was not always available either if he was off doing other trips and drop offs, meaning you were stuck being at the accommodation as no taxi would be able to come and collect you. However, the accommodation is so amazing it wasn't really a problem to stay put. Also if you have a moped then the trip up and down is probably better.

Absolutely amazing! We stayed at the Spirit villa with an astonishing open view to the ocean and endless greens of the Bukit’s forest. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back to recharge, enjoy the local food and hospitality. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant offered fresh local food which was prepared at the moment you order it, fresh juices and the best Bali coffee we tried on Bali so far! Villa offered a SPA services which we happily used every day. This place was our ultimate Bali stay experience after travelling around the island! PS. Villas are situated remotely on the hill, which is exactly what you would want in a stay like this. For some it might be a challenge, however, villa is offering a free transport to the beach and Amed and back.

Our was a lovely property surrounded by nature and with an amazing sea view!

We loved everything but the road to get to the property was a bit bumpy. So we were some how a bit isolated.

Absolutely stunning place. Amazing view. Staff were fantastic. It sounds like a cliche but we actually did feel like part of their family. Everyone was lovely from the Managers to the restaurant and bar staff, to the girls cleaning our rooms and the guys keeping the pools and gardens tidy. Beds were comfy. Food was great. Super chill setting. The hill is a bit of a mission, but the trade off is being away from the noise of the busy main road, and being able to wake up early and watch all the fishing boats out on the ocean. It really is mind blowing being in the pool and looking down the hill at Lipah then out at the seemingly endless ocean. It’s rural setting which gives it some of its charm. There are chickens around who will start crowing early in the morning but after the first night you tune out to them. If you want all the comforts of a 5 star hotel in the city then this probably isn’t the place for you but then I would ask why you are in Amed? The power went out a couple of times while we were here and with it the wifi, and do you know what we did? We relaxed in the pool and stared at the amazing view! Half of Lipah also lost power so not the fault of these guys (and I feel sorry for those who were staying in less beautiful places). We ended up canceling our other accommodation and staying here for 2 weeks because we loved it so much. Nicola loved it so much she never left for the whole 2 weeks. This would easily be my favourite place in Bali

To be honest there’s nothing we didn’t like here. We are already planning on coming back…

The view, the pool, the architecture, the Balinese staffs.

Basic utilities keep failing, it’s impossible to enjoy: repeated problems with water and air condition. Unable to provide service at the given price. Went with my family for a new year staycation but ended up just wasting money and energy. Repeated problem with water supply and air conditioning; coffee and tea supply is also not by default. We finally left one day before check out schedule due to electricity got cut off mid day. This happens quite often in Bali rural area but it’s problematic because the property has no back up power supply. It’s worse than usual cut off because there is no mobile connection only wifi. Plus the villa is far from town with difficult road meaning it’s super dangerous for guests to drive up and down if we are sitting duck waiting for night to come. There is no good will refund or anything, and the owner insisted that it was JUST 20 minutes (it was not, still off when we are all in the car and no way a family of four can pack in under 20mis so..) I think with price point comparable to that of 5 stars chain - the service is a total fail. I don’t recommend.
