Pietra Campana Italian Villa Orvieto

Comfortable, beautiful outdoors area (pool, gardens, eating area), fabulous views. Good breakfast. Excellent dinner. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Short drive into Orvietto.

The entrance from the road from Orvietto was a bit challenging with the car!

Enjoyed our stay here with picturesque views over Orvieto morning and night. It’s a nice quiet place to retreat to after a day of sightseeing. We made use of the pool as well.

A beautiful property. Fantastic views across the valley to Orvietto

Could not close the external shutters. Therefore, could not block out morning sun. Didn’t get any instruction on how to enter the property when arriving by car. The gate is at a very awkward angle on a blind corner. Considering it’s location, it would be nice for some sort of food service at the property for dinner. Even if it’s only a limited offering that you can book. The property is out of town on a winding road, so driving in the dark can be challenging.

Punti positivi: Vista su Orvieto Punti Negativi: Camera con poca privacy,finistra affaccia su una zona di passaggio attrezzata con tavolini (foto),le finestre vanno lasciate chiuse,bagno con vasca piccolo e scomodo,ma cosa ancora piu' grave manca del tutto insonorizzazione,si sentiva tutto,siamo stati svegliati alle 07.00 dalla vicina che parlava al telefono.Piscina senza alcun controllo,si adetterebbe bene come zona relax ma i bambini che gridavano e giocavano senza alcun richiamo non hanno permesso neanche di parlare tra noi e siamo stati costretti ad andare via. Freddezza in fase di check out,non ci è stato chiesto neanche come fossimo stati.In considerazione di quanto pagato (230 per la camera per una notte) la struttura è stata molto al di sotto delle aspettative.

It was fine, just that the room seemed a bit small and very plain. White on white and not very pretty. The outside was lovely - great gardens, great pool but the room was just "fine" - nothing wrong. Just a bit dull with white bedspread in a white room and a bland chair.

Our second visit to Orvieto but first stay here. Pietra Campana is a small estate located on a hill directly opposite Orvieto and its wonderful cathedral. This is a gorgeous property presided over by an attentive Mauricio. Our room was amazing and breakfasts are incredible. There is free private parking on site. I will forever remember Mauricio introducing me to a wonderful local white wine, Grechetto (little Greek). Highly recommend this amazing place!

We were disappointed by the locally produced home cooked three course meal. It was very expensive and just so-so. But taste is personal, right?

The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help. Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. The view was unbelievable.

Disappointed they didn't have options for dinner each night. Only the one night they had a chef come in but I had to ask - noone informed us beforehand. Also, AFTER I booked the non-refundable rooms, the confirmation stated both the hot tub and pool would not be available for use. Not sure I would have booked it knowing this in advance.
