Villa D Holiday Homes Castelli Romani

The apartment was clean and comfortable for 2 couples (or family of 4) as there were 2 rooms. The host, Deborah, was very helpful, and so his son, Manuel. One has to have a car to stay in the apartment as it could be challenging to get a taxi at the place.

We like the place overall. However, only one room has a hanger stand. The room we stayed in has a large drawer but did not have a hangers stand. Adding a hangers stand (to hang clothes) would be very helpful.

We only stayed here the night (early flight) as it was an excellent location close to the airport. While a touch dated, it's a lovely place with great views and every amenity you could need. A nearby train that gets you into central Rome in 40 minutes. Our hosts kindly waited for us despite a late arrival and awful weather which was really appreciated. We'd stay here again and certainly explore the local area and lake.

Clean, lovely host, very easy to find, stunning view. Bed was comfy and sheets were clean. Kitchen was well stocked.

Firstly I really liked the balcony of the facility and back garden. This is really good.

Location was good but a car is definitely needed. Nice setting with good view above the lake. Parking is excellent right outside the door of the apartment. Plenty of outside seating areas and balcony. Also a nice barbecue area

Rooms were OK but despite mentioning in fine print air conditioning was only provided in the kitchen / dining area and none at all in the bedrooms. The charge was 10.00 Euro additional per night for the one air conditioner. To assist the host and tenants it may be a good idea to make this clearer as in the hot months many guests require air conditioning particularly in the bedrooms. In the main dining / lounge area the host has decided to use this as a storage area (see image) for a piano that is wrapped in plastic and next to a rather dilapidated stove. Rather spoils the ambience and not really appropriate for rental properties. Dog barking throughout the night when the host claimed was not their dog but it made it difficult to sleep and particularly as windows in bedroom had to be kept open because of lack of air conditioning. In fairness to host they understood the problem and allowed us cancel the rest of the reservation period we had booked
