I booked the apartment for my two teenage children, traveling with relatives from the US. I paid for the trip but did not stay. Place was filthy! Used bars of soap in the bathroom. Rancid food left in the microwave by previous guests. Dust everywhere. I learned about this after the first day because my kids were too embarrassed to inform me and the two adults felt sorry for me. I confronted the owner/manager on the phone. I was aggressive because I was furious. The owner did not provide a solution and questioned our cleanliness standards, implying that my family had excessively high standards. My 17-year old son was appalled and he certainly does not have high standards in the cleanliness department. The owner thought I was lying and only looking for a refund which I did not ask for because nothing can compensate for a crappy vacation. My family left one day early and I had to find another place for them. The owner did not reach out to the guests in the apartment to find out what the situation was like and correct it. Place is noisy by the way. Not the owner's fault but good luck getting a good night's sleep with all the yelling from nearby eateries. I usually only rate places when I can give at least an 8. But this is an unwelcome exception to the rule.

The location was ok

The apartment was up 4 flights of stairs.. no lift. The bathroom shower screen was dirty … the shower leaked. The dishwasher was not emptied. The front door was difficult to open . On our last day we came back to the apartment and the cleaner was in the apartment at 10.30 before we booked out. I was grateful to have the luggage taken up the flights of stairs.
