The smell of the space when we first arrived, it was a moldy and damp smell. That the braai was a feature of the space but it wasn't provided on arrival even after mentioning it on arrival but also after askinh about it when we first booked. The only reason why we booked. How the situation around the sheet was addressed. Even after being forthcoming about messing up the sheet. Having Bart come into the cottage under the pretence of cleaning, not actually cleaning, but rather using that time to call me aggressively as if I wasn't willing to solve the problem. Even though it was a self catering place they kept bugging us about when the cleaning lady can come in to clean. She ended up cleaning on only 1 day out of the 6. When we finally got the braai, it was placed on the verandah, but once we started braaing and the fire was already on, it started raining, we then saw Bart walking from the main house, watching us then going back in without addressing us. Later that evening on NYE we recieved a message saying that we'd be liable for any damage to the wall from where we were braaing. There were rules being mentioned that were never told to us on arrival, and that were not written down anywhere. On the last morning Bart knocked really loudly on the door and forced us out while we were packing to entertain his need to have a discussion about sheets I had already paid for. He was very rude and his manner of approach needs to be looked into. He took accountability for nothing but rather shouted, instead of slightly raising his voice, he literally shouted at us like we were kids. He was demanding for a Proof of payment for the same sheets I sent them a order number for the night prior. We didn't recieve even 1 apology, instead when his wife tried to hold him accountable he told her to shut up and man handled her in our presence.
ZAThis was our second visit and we're still not complaining. We will visit again. Our host Bart welcomed us warmly. The place is well taken care of; neat, clean, and peaceful
