Lovely studio flat

Top location, nice area and close to the city centre. The studio flat is spacious and comfortable, also very bright.

The property main entrance is via a wooden gate which is not easy to open (and I’ve almost got stuck inside because the cleaning lady closed it from outside).

It's in a good location in walking distance of the centre, nice to have access to fridge & freezer, microwave etc, and it was a good price.

The flat is a part of a house and there is soooo much noise from the house. You can literally hear whole conversations through the wall. The worst part is you can hear people using the toilet - and you can hear EVERYTHING. Shame as otherwise it's a nice place to stay.

For the price paid everything was fine. Comfortable accommodation. 10 minute walk into the town.

The temperature in the shower could have been warmer but it was fine.

Clean, as described, convenient location

Clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. A homely feel, with everything you could need for a short visit. I'm left feeling as though I stayed at a mates place, rather than in a soulless hotel. I needed somewhere to sleep for 2 nights, whilst working in Reading city centre. The 20 min walk from the train station is a good way of making sure I get some exercise without being too much of a stretch. On a quiet road, with a secure entrance to the side of the property, as a solo female traveller I felt safe in the property and when venturing to the nearby cost cutter in the evening. There is also an M&S food within easy walking distance. The ironing board was a highlight.

The iron - this has burnt something in the past, and the heat plate needs replacing, I'm not sure scraping it will be enough. As someone who was travelling for work, the use of an iron is appreciated.

It had everything we needed

This is a very well designed property and is also particularly well equipped - it had everything I conceivably needed. Although the physical dimensions are quite compact efficient use of the space has been made so it feels quite spacious and there is ample room for a large bed, a table and chairs, and a comfortable armchair. The shower/toilet is fine and there is a kitchenette which is also well equipped so suitable for self-catering. The property is conveniently situated and is just a 15 minute walk from the town centre. It is also very quiet.

I reserved parking but the available space was rather full and at one point I was blocked in by a van (which fortunately left early the next morning). There is a large smart TV but it is not connected to an aerial instead relying on streaming. This worked fine in the daytime but in the evening the internet connection was not fast enough to watch TV (I presume several flats share the same broadband width).

Shower is poor, front door is stuck so on a couple of occasions I had to slowly open it up so as not to break it. The people above where baging about until 1.00am which made it a struggle to sleep.
