Apartment in Åsane

The apartment is clean, well-equipped and cost-effective.

The landlord knocked on our door at 9pm and asked if we had used any high-power electrical appliances. We told them that we had only turned on the electric heater in the house, so they went in and lowered the temperature of the electric heater. I was really confused. If the tenants use the electrical appliances you provide in your rental apartment and it will affect your circuit, then why did you install the electric heater? This is really rude to us!

A pleasant apartment with a very cozy atmosphere. An ideal place to relax, far from city noise, but within a reasonable distance from a grocery store. The place is equipped like a real apartment - you can wash clothes, cook meals, and wash dishes in the dishwasher. The owner is very nice, she even made us a surprise for our honeymoon. When coming here, I recommend having a car. Definitely recommend 😀

The apartment was nice with nifty outdoor seating. Coffee, tea, and kitchen supplies were provided and were much appreciated.

A small problem with water drainage in the shower.

It had all the basics you need for a stay. Check-in requires contact with the owner before you arrive as it is not a key box or code system. Plenty of space to park. The owners were very helpful and friendly when I had a query about the cooktop. Wi-fi worked okay. Strong, hot shower.

This place is not for the light sleeper. There is no soundproofing between the unit and the upstairs home, and it is very noisy. You can hear everything, even down to plates being put on the table. All the foot traffic, and especially one area of particularly squeaky boards, can be irritating if you are in need of some quiet time. There is only one small heater in the bedroom which is not big enough to heat the entire place in winter, so the living area was quite cold. It was probably made worse because there was a cold wind the night I stayed that drafted in around the entry door. There is only one chair for sitting at the small fold-out dining table. The bathroom drains were smelly (like vomit) which could have been because of the weather/rain.

Comfortable bed, friendly host ... he helped us with the car as we got stacked by the snow.

Handy location, lots of space, excellent value especially out of season.
