Chery's Guesthouse

What I like about the property is that they have generator and easy access to Lazi and San Juan, I love how approachable and friendly the workers there especially Eden but of course we call her chelsea because we think it suites her. I like the sunset at the back of that place because you can chill there and dive or jump there but of course I suggest you guys to go there at 3pm so that you can see the turtles coming out and wait for the sunset to too.

Chery’s Guesthouse is the perfect blend of simplicity, comfort, and nature. The accommodation has everything you need—hot water, a modern and quiet AC, and comfortable beds. While it’s a simple stay, it’s beautifully designed and well-maintained. What makes this place truly special is its stunning natural surroundings. There’s a private cliff where I watched one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the Philippines, with plenty of turtles swimming below—a truly unforgettable experience! The family who runs it is incredibly kind and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.

Everything. The location, the people felt like family (very kind, couldn’t do enough for us), beautiful cliff at the bottom of property, very clean, great aircon (brand new). We had a little emergency while here (I ended up in hospital lol) and they even came to visit me, and helped us figure out the rest of our stay and let us extend. They’ve purchased a brand new generator, which brings the electricity back on within 5 minutes of it cutting out (happens fairly often on the whole island). Edenna (manager/Chery’s niece) is there all day, everyday and is the sweetest; very willing to help.

Couldn’t find Edenna a boyfriend while we were here :(

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and fun. The facilities were modern and well-maintained, providing great comfort. The location was beautiful. Highly recommendable.

Good location in the middle of everything! If you’re tired at the end of the day, best spot to rest because if far from the noise of the bars at night. Staff are accommodating too! They are offering pick up/drop off to port. They have also motor rental service so you can use for your trip, plus they us give discount 😁😊 Has hot shower, laundry area, free mineral water and you can cook if you want. Clean room and spacious CR. They maybe have few reviews but we had a good stay!

No TV, but all good.

the property is new. it’s clean and surprisingly high ceiling. for its price, it’s definitely worth it. though some may say it’s far from the port, it’s in the middle of san juan and is near famous places so it’s a win. do check them out, you won’t regret it!

there’s no soap dish but other than that, everything was great. we enjoyed our stay.

Do not be put off by the lack of reviews! Chery’s is a new guesthouse that I would 100% recommend. The entrance to the property is ‘rustic’ and it may not have fancy facilities around… but the room was new, clean & very comfortable. The staff are so friendly and smiley - always happy to help with anything… including hiring a scooter.

The room is new, clean and tidy. They have a washing machine and the lady there is so nice to even offer their detergent for us to use. Its a bit far from the center but if you have a moped its not a problem at all plus we choose this since its near the freediving shop we booked.
