Host communicated very well which we appreciated. They were eager to answer any questions and concerns we had which showed they cared. The bed was comfortable and the space was located in an area where we were able to explore the finger lakes easily (like Watkins Glen and Ithaca) with only a short drive. There was an air purifier in the bedroom/kitchen area which gave an extra layer of comfort for us. It was easy to get in with a code on the door and we liked there was a fridge. Also, very affordable!

The space has so much potential - it has an adorable antique mail slot and gorgeous original door hinges - but overall, I'd say it seems to be a work in progress. The bathroom just needs some updating and I encouraged the host to do a deeper clean to make guests feel more comfortable, and they were very receptive to that suggestion. When you first walk in, there is a slight odor, this happens with antique houses, but the inside of the bedroom had an air purifier which worked great, so don't be deterred when you first walk in. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for an inexpensive place to sleep, get cleaned up and keep your belongings safe. Note that there is no TV, so bring some card games with you or book!

The bed was uncomfortable and the room was a little warm. The window unit cooled the kitchen nicely, but the bedroom stayed warm.

I liked that it was an apartment like setting

When I arrived, I noticed it was in a run down part of the area. Upon entering, it was clear it had not been cleaned. The bathroom is is separate from the rest of area. (In the hallway). The refrigerator had mold, the floors were dirty, kitchen was dirty, and it was really hot despite the a/c running. The fans were really dirty, with a lot of debris on the fan blades and front. The freezer at the bottom of the refrigerator was frozen shut, definitely needed to be defrosted. The most troubling though, was that there were fleas. I had to buy cleaning supplies and flea spray.

The bed was comfy, the room was comfortable for such a hot day outside with an effective air conditioner, and the room was clean. The owner was clear on how to enter the house also.

I did not even stay as it felt extremely unsafe and was unclean.

Great price. Washer/drier. Full kitchen
