SIMI home

After staying in "Chez Ali" - a 1 bed apartment in the SAME building that was quite nice - I booked the "Simi Home" flat without realising this is owned by the same family. The only good thing was I didn't have far to move my things.

SIMI "Home" apartment is a tiny place with a stinking bathroom on the ground floor of a building that has other flats within. It's impossible for tourists to know what they're booking, as you only discover when you arrive what you've paid for. The hosts use reviews from 2016 from OTHER flats in the building to advertise this one. A sign on the front door, inside, says in Arabic, French and English that no refund will be given. They've obviously had people demanding money back because the flat is disgusting. On my first night, the hostess rang me sounding alarmed that I had locked the front door! Turns out this was because 3 other guests had arrived, having booked a more decent flat upstairs. Rather than come down and greet them herself (she lives on site) the "hostess" asked me to let them in. Presumably her teenage son Ali, who I dealt with when staying in "Chez Ali," was out. The fridge had old spilt milk inside and rotten veg left by the previous guest. As the place is tiny, the whole flat STANK. I had to ask the cleaner to come back and clean it, which she did. Still, as this is a ground floor flat, with zero insulation or ventilation I felt like I was sleeping with the trash in the street outside. You constantly hear all the neighbours and the smell of rubbish is overwhelming. My worst stay in Morocco. The hosts have a nerve to charge people for such an appalling place. Go anywhere else.

Els amfitrions van ser perfectes, molt antents en tot moment. L'apartament és ampli i suficient per a dues persones. Vam estar-hi molt còmodes i repetiriem sense dubtar-ho. Net i acollidor.
