The Cabin

Unfortunately mine was just a brief stay overnight having attended a family funeral. I arrived late and left very early so didn't meet anyone. The accommodation was lovely - warm, comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated.

Absolutely everything was spot on. Owners are very friendly we were staying for a few days so they came out on arrival just to let us know that if there was anything we needed all we needed to do was ask. Everything you need you'll find in the cabin, and is a very comfortable stay. After a long day you have a small tv with everything available to watch, and the little coffee machine was a great plus with hot chocolates. The meadow was so beautiful. Little walks are carved out around the property so you can go and explore the streams. We were happy to see a little Concrake with lots of her little chick's roaming around. Our stay was more than amazing and can't wait to stay here again!

A lovely hideaway in a beautiful location

Amazing location, very quiet. The cabin is snug, but well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Sitting out on the patio area, on a hot summers evening, with a nice cold drink, watching nature as the sun sets (lovely touch with the binoculars)... perfect and was so relaxing.

The furniture on the patio could have done with being a bit more comfy.... a nice lounger would be perfect! (although wasn't a problem)

We have been before and love the beautiful, secluded view over the watermeadow. The cabin is snug and cosy, you can prepare and cook food, the bathroom is spotlessly clean with a lovely shower, perfect for waking up in the morning. We set our alarms to get up and watch the sun rise over the early morning mist. Fresh milk had been left for us, which was a lovely touch, and the small freezer compartment allowed us to chill down our cool packs and keep our lunch (and butter!) cold on our travels the next day, which was very hot!

We only wish we had managed to get there a bit earlier in the evening so that we could have explored the area on the bicycles the hosts kindly lent us.

What a fantastic location! Set looking out over a large watermeadow, which was absolutely beautiful, with tall, flowering summer grass, stunning topiary shapes to marvel at, a great bbq outside on the decking to give that wonderful camping feeling, a snug and cosy cabin to retreat to when it got dark and cooler, a great shower to wake you up in the morning and a coffee machine to set you up for the day ahead. So many lovely little touches that make this place feel really special. We will definitely return to watch the sunrise over the meadow!

We wish we had dragged ourselves out of bed to watch the sunrise! Next time...
