Keswick Bridge Lodge Resort

The location was brilliant, the lodges being situated between the River Greta and banks of trees. The lodges themselves were almost a Nordic design, looked perfect inside and were well fitted out with some beautiful furniture, white goods and kitchen equipment. Money had not been spared anywhere and there was nothing extra we would have wanted for a week’s stay. All the staff we met were very friendly and super efficient.

The floor of the upper living area was unbelievably creaky so it was very noisy in the bedrooms below it when people, especially children, walked or ran around. We were woken whenever the person on the pull-out bed upstairs used the stairs as they were also creaky. The WiFi was very slow (down to only 4mbps download and 1.9mbps upload at times. Even worse was the number of times the signal dropped out, necessitating a re-boot on all our devices.

Location is excellent and the houses themselves are well laid out and appointed.

I think the fact that electricity is not included in the price should be more prominently displayed. It doesn't add significantly to the price, but I had not read this detail in the description (the only place this info features). As a result, it felt a bit like a bait and switch. More transparency would be welcome.

Great location and clean and comfy, good selection of kitchen equipment etc. Professional staff.

Electricity not included and quite expensive. Internet not good enough for netflix in the evenings.
