Open, spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The meals they prepared were huge and they let me pick whether I wanted fish or chicken the night before and then bought it fresh. Meals were served at whatever time worked for me.

非常友善的民宿主人。夫妇两人，他们的母亲，外加一个两岁半小男孩，全都特别乐于助人。尤其是母亲，居然能说简单的英语。小男孩也特别可爱。房间很大，带一个私人厨房，是典型的当地住宿风格。离椰树山很近，主人会开突突车送去游览，并且在游览结束后送到车站。住一个晚上，性价比很高

excellent accommodation, budget, cute, pleasant. also you are guarded by cute dogs, which my friend and I fed) so do not be afraid, they are kind and love to eat crackers. the owners are very nice, they gave new water every day, washed clothes, the prices are like in the store for water. I advise you to live there, beaches and establishments are nearby. at the end they gave us a nice gift

Absolutely an incredible place to stay. The whole unit is brand new, with a very large king bed, gorgeous bathroom, kitchenette, A/C (although if you want to save money, there is also a ceiling fan), a beutiful porch, and, most of all, an amazing hosting family! The location is in the town of Thalaramba, which is a few minutes away from the tourist hotspot of Mirissa. It's close enough to be convenient to reach, but far enough to give you peace from the tourist nonsense. It's about 20 minutes to walk to the main Mirissa Beach, or 5-10 minutes to a secret, almost private beach. I mostly went to the closer, private beach - it was the perfect place to take a nap in the shade, or dip your feet in the water! Some big perks for me that were unexpected: * The hosting family offered to provide a delicious traditional Sri Lankian breakfast or dinner for 1000lkr each - and they would prepare it ahead of time for whatever time I wanted! This was huge, especially if you are staying longer than a night or two, given that many restaurants in that area are charging 3000lkr+ for substandard fare. * The internet connection was fantastic - Mobitel fibre, much faster than I have even at home in Canada! It was hands down the fastest and most reliable internet I had anywhere in Sri Lanka, even compared to western hotels that were 40,000lkr/night. However, the wifi could be improved - it doesn't reach all the way into the room, you have to sit by the front window or on the porch outside to use it effectively. I am definitely going to return here with my girlfriend in the future! I would say this place is perfect for anybody who is travelling as a couple (because it's sooo cute and gorgeous, it feels like a honeymoon), or for anybody who is travelling alone (because the hosting family is very nice and will cook for you). It's also amazing for anybody who needs to work during their stay, because the internet is so reliable and fast.

Wifi was not that good, even though the internet was amazing - sometimes I would have liked to be able to use my laptop in the bed or my phone in the toilet. This should be easy for you folks to fix with an extra access point!!

Great location in a quiet part of town

The air conditioner needs a repair, it wasn't cold and leaked water all over the table which had my clothes on. No big deal and I'm sure the owner will sort it, they seem very nice

This was one of the best places we stayed at on our extended trip to Sri Lanka, and the best in the south beaches area. It was a newly constructed villa so everything was up to date and clean, and it was well laid out. The outlets were all the newer, European style, and, there were lots of windows for beautiful daylight and a breeze if you didn't want to use the AC. There was a large, covered cement patio, with a table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs out front for enjoying the outdoors. One of the biggest issues we had encountered in our travels was patchy or slow internet. The hosts had installed fiber wi-fi and the connection was the fastest we had seen! It was almost like being at home. We could conduct business video calls with ease, and still be a quiet, 8 minute walk to the beach. The hosts were also amazing! They made sure we were comfortable, gave us extra chairs and a table to set up an office, took us places we needed to go for a reasonable rate (which was hard to do in the beaches area), cooked us amazing meals (for a great price), and recommended places to go. They even hooked us up with a local seamstress to have some things made. We never felt like they were doing it just for the money or it was inconvenient. We felt like family by the time we left! The mattress on the king-size bed was comfortable. There was a well-stocked kitchen with an electric kettle, gas burner, sink, basic dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans. (There was no fridge, but they let us store some of our food in theirs. They said they plan to get one soon.) The bathroom was well laid out with the shower on one side, the sink in the middle, and the toilet at the far end - so, you didn't get your feet wet going in and out after taking a shower. It was a pleasant, 8 minute walk along side roads and pathways to a quiet beach, and walking distance to the town and amenities. We definitely plant to stay here again on our next visit!
