The hostel is very well located and the owner is a good guy always willing to be helpful. It’s a luxury to find a hostel with a kitchen you can use in India, and being Mumbai the most expensive city in the country as far as I know, especially the neighbourhood where the hostel is located, it makes a difference. When I was there there were mainly Indian guests living in the hostel, but besides not having much of a traveller vibe, it was fine and also one girl living there was speaking very good English and she’s been very helpful.

The downstairs bathroom is meant to be the girls room bathroom, I don’t really care about the gender honestly but I have noticed that people from the other rooms which had their bathroom inside were often using the downstairs one just because it was easy access, while I couldn’t use the ones above because they were inside the room.

Nothing, staff has to make some facility management course or otherwise keep up with lower and lower middle income workmen accommodation, they can survive. Sometimes they really make efforts but can’t do much.

AC not working (remember it’s mumbai and month of may), breakfast not given (instead he offered me INR 20), unclean, hard beds. Building unsafe in kitchen slab almost collapsed

The place was clean, fresh sheets and clean washroom even though it's a shared bathroom situation. As per online booking they made available effort to provide breakfast which was fine and tasty. Plus the staff regularly checks to see if the customers are facing any issue etc. I didn't have a charger and toothpaste which they provided. The location is great cause it's in Bandra Hill Road.

They could have provided liquid soap instead of bar soap for the washroom. And the AC in the main 8-bed dormitory doesn't work well so if you're sleeping below in the bunk beds then that's an issue. Because they have provided fans but only for the top beds in the bunk beds. Also please find a way to reserve beds for travellers as per their booking. I booked a4 bed male dorm bed but was provided an 8 bed dorm bed.
