The walls are very thin, you can literally hear everything your neighbors are doing, especially if they're overly noisy, which was the case with us. For some reason, regular tap water is also salty. I don't know if it's the same everywhere on the island, but it's a bit strange.

First of all, I don’t like writing bad reviews, but I feel I need to let fellow travelers know what to expect. We booked a superior room for 3 nights. Before arriving, I asked if there was an airport transfer available. They said yes – €40 each way. A taxi cost only €17, but that’s fine, just for information. The real surprise came when we arrived. The kitchen and bathroom were full of small bugs, and we even killed 3 cockroaches. I messaged the owner about it, but since it was late, I wasn’t expecting a reply. We managed to get rid of most of the bugs so we could sleep, but the bed was so hard that I could barely move on it. I didn’t manage to sleep at all that first night. The next morning, the owner came by. I showed him the photos and videos I had taken of the bugs, and his response was: “It’s not much.” I asked for another room, and luckily one was available – otherwise we would have left. The new room was much better: bigger, cleaner, and with a very comfortable bed. Still, on the last night we encountered 2 cockroaches and a few small bugs. The owner and cleaning lady did apologize and were polite throughout, so I don’t blame them personally. But when I pay for accommodation on holiday, I expect it to make my stay better – not worse. Also, the water from both the shower and tap was salty, which I still don’t understand. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this town (Laganas), as the city itself was extremely dirty too..

ITOne of the kindest people I’ve ever met is here at Mavra. Always available for every little thing with a smile and full of love and good words for you. The apartment was new, wonderful and with all the amenities you need. Nothing but good things.
