Royal Horse Resort

Pleasant environment to walk around in, beautiful animals.

So I’ve been here a few times. Not very resort-y considering that if you want to ride any of the horses you need to plan it in advance otherwise it is just a hotel to stay in as it happened every time we tried to do that. Also the food is not always available nor is the bar, so again not very much to do besides walk around look at the animals and you have to drive to the nearest city to buy yourself something to eat and drink. One time the restaurant closes late and you even get to buy yourself some beer with some food and spend the evening in the resort which is nice but another time you will be told that it closes at 5pm and that if you wanted any food you had to pre-order it so you are forced to find food elsewhere, staff gives conflicting opinions on the restaurant working hours. Nowhere does it show on the map where the bar is either if you want just drinks nor is the bar consistently open just like the restaurant - you just never know, you might have to buy your drinks in the city and drink it in your hotel room with no tv as there is nothing to do in the evening. The restaurant, when open, is expensive for what you get especially since it’s next to the stables with a specific smell and in summer there’s flies everywhere, but it wouldn’t be such a big deal if it was at least open so you don’t have to drive somewhere else to get water and food while staying in a so called resort.
