suggerisco oltre alla confezione del bagnoschiuma anche un piccolo sapone per le mani

La posizione centralissima e il palazzo d'epoca sono stati graditi, così come la gentilezza nell'accoglienza.

È stato molto difficoltoso raggiungere la location a causa della chiusura al traffico del centro città e a causa della scarsità di parcheggi nelle vicinanze. Arrivati al B&b dopo un lungo tratto di strada con le valigie in mano abbiamo scoperto che non c'era l'ascensore e le scale per salire in camera erano strettissime e tortuose. Per fortuna il gestore si è prontamente offerto di darci una mano, gentilissimo.

Simone, il proprietario, ci ha accolto con simpatia e gentilezza mostrando grande disponibilità anche nell'indicarci come muoverci in città. La struttura è centralissima, ristrutturata e pulita; essendo un tutt'uno con il bar è anche molto comoda per colazione e aperitivo! Davvero consigliatissimo

non mi è piaciuto il bagno privato fuori dalla camera

posto splendido camere molto curate ma non adatte a tutti: le scale per salire soprattutto al secondo piano sono molto strette ed è difficile salire le valigie, il bagno è staccato dalla camera, tutto il resto è perfetto

NOTE: In case it isn't obvious, the room is RIGHT ON the Piazza Duomo. For me this was a huge plus. The whole historic center is at your doorstep, but you can walk to transportation. With windows open there was some noise at night, but not bad. If you want absolute silence maybe consider somewhere else. Also note that the room is above a nice little coffee bar, so the included breakfast is legit; i.e., not just a coffee maker and crappy plastic-wrapped pastry. The host, Simone, was super-helpful and very charming. Not sure if that's the right word, but very cheerful and lively. I assume (?) he owns the place, so he actually cares about your stay. This was my only stay that didn't have (faceless, anonymous, annoying) self-checkin, and it was very refreshing. Humans are good. Even the young woman doing housekeeping was friendly and pleasant to talk to. As someone who knew L'Aquila well before the earthquake, I was very happy to see how well it is recovering. Yes it has been extremely slow, but the results are impressive. The restored buildings look great, and the evening scene is better than before. Lots of fantastic dining options and tons of locals doing the passegiata for hours on end. Prices are very reasonable. I would easily pick an evening in L'Aquila over one in Rome.

Again, keep in mind that this room is RIGHT ON the Pizza Duomo. So the building, unsurprisingly, is kind of old. Although it has been finished very nicely, it isn't laid out like a modern hotel. The stairway up to the room is curved and kind of tight. There isn't a lot of headroom, and there are a couple of unexpected steps. I didn't mind this at all, but it could be an issue for some. Also, the room has a dedicated bathroom, but it is across the hall from the bedroom. Kind of odd, but workable. For me, the hard part was not locking the key in the room. (Oops!) There are only a few rooms in the property, so not very likely that you'll cross paths with someone else.
