Cosy Rural Retreat

Property the room is located on is amazing, large garden you can explore. It's in a rural location, with only chickens / roosters for background noise. Spacious living / sleeping area and amazing bathroom, one of the best in places I've stayed. Host welcomed us on arrival, and was super helpful. Generous car parking available, but may be a challenge to use if you have an extra long vehicle. Kitchen is basic (microwave, fridge, coffee machine and kettle), but met our needs and the host even provided Nespresso pods.

There is no AC so the room heated up and we couldn't cool it down enough before sleeping. A decent fan is provided, but it struggled to offset the heat. There's a heater, so suspect winter isn't as much of an issue as summer. With AC this would have been a 10/10 and I'd definitely consider booking again (just not in the height of summer).

Lovely stay. Cosy and clean, with beautiful gardens. Hosts were friendly and kind. Good location to feel like you were away from things but also close enough to explore.

Away from it all in a rural setting. Cozy as per description. Easy access to the Nevis, Cromwell etc. The owners were super kind and boiled/steamed our veges for us and allowed us to use their BBQ. Thoughtfully kitted out.

Would have liked a sink to wash dishes and a pot or two to cook veges. No microwaves for us; its not a criticism just a general comment that lodgings with a gas/electric plate are becoming harder to find. We have a vege garden full of produce we want to utilise and to save money on food costs when travelling.
