Oak Lodge

Everything we needed was in the lodge and everything very clean

Very thought about. Especially liked Oak as the patio was not overlooked at all. BBQ was fab and the porch roof very cool !

Unable to operate the hob. I have induction at home but could not get it to work. If I’m honest there could be more crockery and cutlery, we seemed to be washing pots all the time for four for a whole day, just a thought.

The Lodge itself was great. Lovely location and the space you get is great. Would be a great summer location. Extremely quiet, and tucked enough away from people for you to feel like you're the only one there

It's very tough but i'll keep it brief, and some of these may be personal preference rather than glaring issues: - We found that as dogs have stayed there in the past, we were finding more and more dog hairs around the apartment on cushions and on beds etc. - Because the windows have blinds on them, we found that the mornings were extremely bright because of the sun. They didnt really keep much light out so naturally we rose alot earlier than expected on each day. - The double bed felt small and quite restricted (personal preference would have been king but understand the space is limited).

The gravel walkways not good feet sank in the gravel needs something more stable

Great little place very private. Great spot to access parts of the peak district if you don't mind a bit of a drive each day
