"Whatever may be the reason but you have to pay even if you dont stay and also if you can sleep with mosquitoes that you"

It was full of mosquitoes, couldt sleep whole night , I did a booking for two days but for some serious reason i cancelled one day but i paid for the 1st day but the host was like you have to pay the whole amount . But the question is booking.com didn’t mentioned about that i have to pay even if i cancel because it was mentioned free cancellation and also there was no rules & regulations written about that
