Potential for smaller dogs to escape the garden, we had ours on an extendable lead so wasn't really an issue for us
GBThe lodges are nicely spaced out and the site was quiet. There was ample parking. The shower was very good and it was a bonus to have a dishwasher. The host took prompt action when I raised a small concern.
Although the lodges look quite new and fresh on the pictures, the one we stayed in wasn't pristine - dead flies, dog hairs in the fabric of the sofas, dirty towels (quickly remedied by the host) and in the cupboard, a frying pan full on congealed fat, which I rinsed myself and then put through the dishwasher. The lights were very bright in the living area and there were no lamps. Side tables would have been handy for putting a drink down near the sofas. There were a few extra kitchen items that would have been useful such ass a sieve or colander and I was a bit surprised that tea, coffee etc was left but no milk. The bedrooms were very small and the beds were not very comfortable. Externally, the gravel paths were very difficult to walk on.

GBLoved the location, a beautiful place to feel one with nature and so quite just what we were looking for and the lodge was as advertised, fresh, clean and went well with its surroundings. Great host who was so helpful and friendly. Loved watching the sun set and sun rise. I totally recommend it.

GBWe loved everything about Ashbourne Lodges. The location was close to Peak District sights, it was quiet but not too remote, and there was so much space for each lodge. It was dog friendly and each lodge had a fenced area which meant it was safe for kids to run around too.
It’s hard to find anything we didn’t like about the property. Everything about it exceeded expectations. We had a wonderful break there.
