Ashes Farm Cottage

Close to attractions and beaches. Beautiful location with excellent (and not too expensive) farm shop very near as well as super markets a short drive away. Good pubs, restaurants and cafes very close by. The cottage is clean, recently refurbished and very homely. We were made very welcome.

Very comfortable and welcoming cottage. The whole place still felt quite newly furnished and decorated, not tired and worn. There was comfortable seating in the sitting room for four people to relax, a large double bedroom upstairs and a spacious twin room. We didn’t cook, but it did seem to have anything you might need in the kitchen. A good shower room downstairs with spacious clean shower cubicle. The garden area was lovely to sit out in the sun and enjoy. We didn’t meet Sarah, but Neil was an excellent, friendly host. The cottage had a very nice feel to it. I would definitely stay again.

We didn’t really dislike anything. A W/C upstairs would have been beneficial, but in an old cottage it’s not easy to fit one. You will need to put the shower mat down in the shower though as the tray is very smooth, but it’s an excellent shower otherwise.

Ashes farm cottage was lovely!! Sarah and Neil keep the cottage and garden immaculately. We had everything we needed for a home from home stay, kitchen is totally equipped and the added extras like tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, jams, marmalade, salt and pepper were a great welcome. Toiletries and kitchen sink supplies were also a great send, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets etc and added bonuses were food bags, foil wrap and cling film. The beds were so comfy, beautiful bedding and gorgeous soft towels in the bathroom. On-site parking and a fabulous garden, where we took our home cooked dinner and ate at on the garden furniture, after a great game of swing ball. Ashes farm is close to many places to visit, we went to the donkey sanctuary, greendale farm shop and west bay were we did some crabbing and fish & chips on the beach. Sarah and Neil were great hosts and made us feel very welcome, easy to contact and being on site was really helpful if we’d needed them. We hope to visit again one day when we are going to be in the area again :)
