Nirvana Coastal Retreat Holiday Home

We all loved how cosy this holiday home was. It had all the essentials and the decking area with seating was fantastic especially with the great weather we had. The.beds were also very comfy. When I messaged about a problem with the shower, it was sorted the next morning.

I liked the caravan itself because it was comfortable with a fridge, a stove and a sink for us to clean the dishes and even the beds it was so comfortable and it's close to Cayton beach which has plenty of fossils scattered around.

The one thing that we didn't like in the caravan was that there were flies swarming in the living room,the small bedroom and in the bathroom which lasted a couple of days.

Beautiful holiday home, has everything you need and more. Near all the amenities and a pleasant walk to the very pretty beach. First time we have been to Cayton Bay and definitely coming back. Would have stayed longer if we could of.

The park resort is basically aimed at young children, including the swimming pool. Most of the evening entertainment is focused on children. Passes are for swimming and evening entertainment so if you don't have small children don't buy the passes, expensive and waste of money if you don't really need them. You can still enter the restaurant, arcades, local shop etc without the passes. At least I know for the next time.

Lovely caravan, very clean, comfy beds and everything we could need. Great location on the park too and parking outside was handy!

The decor was nice (colour scheme etc) Plenty of bedding & towels. Cooker , grill and microwave were in good condition and easy to use. Nice sized main bedroom with double bed. Plates, dishes, cups, glasses and all cutlery we needed for cooking and eating were available. There was also a sponge, cloth and a small amount of washing up liquid to use. We were also provided with a couple of complimentary toilet rolls and a small amount of hand soap in the bathroom. Very close to site facilities , including play areas, dog park, restaurant, arcade and shop/mini supermarket.

Unfortunately, the caravan hadn’t been appropriately cleaned as we would have expected prior to our arrival. This did not include bedding or towels as they were spot on. Placemats on the table hadn’t been cleaned and were smeared with food, a couple of glasses still had remnants of food on them that we almost used from the cupboard. Wanting to use the sofa bed we opened it up and found food wrappers and broken biscuits down the sides of the cushions left by previous guests. We tried to use a guest vac to clean the main living area but it was full and made a very loud noise. After emptying it I found it had no filter, which I later found under the sink. After charging until the next day the vac was not suitable for use, didn’t hold its charge and only worked for a few seconds. As we have a dog and due to the carpeting not being as clean as we would have hoped I contacted personnel via booking.com who sent staff to pull the sofa out look under it. I explained the situation and they cleaned it and the carpeted area. The following day I received a call from a representative to discuss the situation, who then sent more staff to descale the kettle and take away another set of placemats that were soiled with food and could not be cleaned by ourselves due to their material. Although we didn’t find the caravan how we would have liked, staff were prompt to sort any cleanliness issues we had.
