Green Door Cottage

Not very clean and doesn’t feel like much thought was put in when setting it up (ie microwave cable doesn’t reach plug, extension leads around beds have lights that are disturbing at night, no sink in kitchen area etc). But worst of all it was not the quiet/relaxed stay we were expecting based on other reviews. The owners had a party and we had screaming and yelling kids around the cottage as well as live music the whole evening. We had to close the curtains early as the kids were running around right outside the French doors which was supposed to be our private area according to the host. To top it all off the next morning the host opened and closed the garage door at 7:20am which is right next to the room.

Spacious with comfortable bed, excellent bedding and towels. Easy walk into town. Private outdoor area. Covered parking.

While adequate space and facilities to make breakfast, not suitable for any serious cooking. No kitchen sink, so washing up a bit of a mission. Large microwave available on request but no suitable dishes provided. Needs a small bench top microwave and dishes. Only one lounge chair that is so low it is virtually impossible to sit in. Needs replacing with a suitable chair or small couch.

The cottage has good natural light and was neat and tidy. The small fridge was handy and we appreciated the fresh milk and ground coffee. When we arrived we needed to contact the host. He was very responsive in answering our question and assisting us.

The kitchenette had most things we needed but washing the dishes was a bit of a challenge. We found the bed too hard.

Great little cottage, we really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and in a lovely setting. Short walk to the main street for cafes and restaurants.

Small and great privacy for a short stay. It had all the required necessities

How many bugs (too many inside)and little bit older taste in decor.
