Lucky Beach Resort

The hotel was great and beautiful and clean and the crew was fantastic, we really like the big pool it's really huge pool and the kids love playing in it, and they think that the shore that below the hotel is the most beautiful spot in Trincomalee

A hotel with more than 600 RMB a night can't even swipe the card. . . In addition, at least five insects were killed in one night..

Lucky Beach has a great pool, that’s for sure. Location is good and unlike other nearby properties is nice and quiet. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Resort is overstating jt. It is a work in progress for sure. Locks and door knobs in the room don’t always work, towel rack was coming off the wall, wifi is very slow(though you don’t come here for that), was told beach towels were only for the pool but they let us take them to the beach anyway. Also reception has no computer so everything is done by hand, a painfully slow process and they don’t take credit cards. They have a lot of work to do and seems to be open prematurely.

A nice hotel, a beautiful area where peacocks walk, chipmunks and iguanas run. A beautiful pool, a very hearty breakfast (probably after it you will not want to eat until the evening). Five minutes to the beach, near the beach there is a great cafe and sun loungers from this cafe. Upuveli Beach is the best in all Trincomalee. The hotel staff is available at any time and is always ready to help in solving the nuances. There are tours from the hotel, such as fishing. There are no mosquito nets, because there are no mosquitoes either. Overall nice and cozy.

The pool area in Lucky Beach is lovely. The breakfast is tasty. The proximity to the beach is also good.

We chose to spend a little bit more on our stay in Lucky Beach resort having read the reviews and seen the pictures on Booking.com however we do not think the Lucky Beach is good value for money. We think that you could spend the same, or less, in Trincomalee for a nicer experience. Twice during our stay we ordered a jug of ice tea to drink at the pool and the wait was extremely long, even though we were the only customers there! We also asked for some fresh towels and were made to feel as though this was an extraordinary request. The manger told us that we couldn't have our towels that evening but to "leave it with him" for the next morning, he spoke to me as though he was doing me a favour. The next morning we were told on more than one occasion that the towels were on the way. The staff also made several different excuses as to why we hadn't received them. The manager blamed other staff members for not purchasing new towels and later returned to tell us that all of the towels had turned red. To cut a long story short we checked out without ever receiving fresh towels. It was a very strange situation. We didn't like being made to feel as though we were asking for the world!! The manager did not deal well with the situation, we would not recommend Lucky Beach Resort.

Fantastically nice newly renovated room. Large bathroom with large shower. Good Wi-Fi. Very nice pool. Good size to swim in. Sunbeds in the pool. Pool area around bar and restaurant. Good restaurant with a large selection and good prices. Good breakfast.

Just details. Some leaves and insekts in the pool. Really not a big problem. Little long walk to the beach. But really nice beach.
