"Good value, excellent location for the Park"

8.0

It’s an interesting complex. Not expensive and ideal for getting a head start on a visit to the local National Park. Cheese omelette was excellent.

I found the bed a bit firm and didn’t sleep very well but I think that was mainly because we had an early start in the morning.

"Nice stay in a quiet area not far from Cape Coast"

6.0

Nice unique set up, the staff is super friendly. Rooms are nice and modern. Seeing the crocodiles and doing the boat tour around was fun!

The breakfast was not great, we were not really served at all. The bridge was broken in the room.

"Very poor"

2.0

Someone who appreciates Nature and ornamental plants can visit for that purpose.

The hotel rooms are not comfortable and modern enough for someone or a couple seeking comfort outside home.Credit/Debit cards may not work so it will be great to have some cash. Receptionist are not welcoming enough 😒

"Beautiful serene surroundings"

7.0

The grounds are beautiful. Very much like Botanical gardens. It was a beautiful serene place. My room was very small, but just right for one person with everything I needed. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and extremely attentive - special thanks to Zachara and Richard and colleagues and to Mac the manager. He was happy to act as a tour guide. It was a great privilege also to meet the owner Mr Hanson! This is a great place for birdwatching, and I did get to see three of the crocodiles. The restaurant is lovely and has great views of the lake and the grounds. I found it to a great base for visiting Kakum National Park and Elmina Castle. Amsterdam Fort is worth a visit. The Botel is remote and you do need a car. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance. For this reason I'd stay again for a short visit. Three nights would have been ideal for me.

It would have been good to have a kettle in the room, but having said that, when I asked for hot water I was given a big flask which was a good alternative. It would also have been great to have had a bedside lamp, and window screens for privacy so I could open the curtains for light - The room over looks the pool. I'm vegetarian and when I spoke to the staff member the first morning he understood this and I was served a delicious breakfast of omelette with steamed vegetables and toast. The second morning I asked for the same having explained to a different member of staff that I don't eat meat, but I was served breakfast with meat and then told I could eat around the meat. The staff member was also going to charge me for two sachets of coffee as I had already had coffee as requested before my breakfast. Dinner the first evening was delicious, Garden Egg Stew, but the second evening, fish stew was just a big fish head and bones no fish I couldn't eat it. The bar was sparse - hardly anything in stock that was on the menu. WiFi was inconsistent.

"Ideal stay over if you’re on the way to the national park"

6.0

The super big swimming pools. Beautiful gardens.

No water kettle in the room with some teas/coffee pads. Limited kitchen , even some Ghanaian foods not available. Difficult road to get there. The place getting bit outdated but big potential.
