Sakis Meteora Home

The accomodation is situated on a quiet but stil very central spot in the local village. Bakery, restaurants, etc are very close by. It also very easy to start your tour to Meteora. Last but not least a very friendly and helpfull owner!

The house has all basics although when somebody wants to do excessive cooking, one will not have a big choice of pots and pans.

We liked everything. Our stay was fantastic. The house is in a very convenient location surrounded with bakeries, shops and restaurants. The owner is extremely helpful and kind. Thank you, Sakis, very much!

Why rent a room when you can have a whole house? This little gem in the middle of Kastraki lies just on the foot of the giant rocks of Meteora, in a little street with some restaurants and some shops. It has a garden wich can be used to sit around, relax, or just watch the cat(s) or the neighbors chicken that come by now and then for a visit. There's a master bedroom with a large double bed, a corridor for shoes and clothes, a big living room/kitchen (there's also a bunk bed for two additional persons), a bath with shower and washing machine. Everything feels like you're actually living there! The host, Sakis, is a nice, american born Greek guy, he awaited me already to give me the keys and showed me everything. Everything is very clean and neat, the large kitchen has everything you need, with a big (of course!) american-style fridge. Everything is taken care of, there are even clips to hang the laundry and so on. As I said, it just feels like living in Kastraki after a while (I stayed there for three nights), a little bakery is just a few meters down the street (and one right across the street) and a supermarket (and even a gas station) are like a 5 minutes walk away. If you don't want to use the car, you can basically walk to nearly all places of interest and monasteries in Meteora by foot directly from the house! The car can be parked right in front of the house, there is always enough space somewhere. Some eating places that I can recommend are just 150 - 300m up the street! I really enjoyed it here and it was super hard to leave!

Nothing I could complain about. But: Bring earplugs - Kastraki, like every other greek village, has some interesting night- and wildlife (that is: cats meowing and dogs barking and howling the whole night in the streets) and there's a very zealous cock next door telling you when it's time to get up the whole late morning! Other than that: Full recommendation here!

Nice house in a central area of Kastraki, minutes away from a lot of traditional greek cosy taverns. Fully-equipped with all the utils a family might need for staying. Nice, friendly host. Thanks for everything!

Very nice place, close to the rocks and monasteries, and lot of privacy.It served our needs to relax very well. Very nice and amable host, Sakis thank you, I enjoyed our chats. We are sorry for not being able to stay longer. Next time.

Sakis is a wonderful, friendly host. The location of the home was perfect- close to nice restaurants and bakery. The home was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay! Very close to the monasteries.

You can spend hours on the grass with the rock above your head, and is walking distance from the center of kastraki!!

It was very clean and cozy!!! We had everything we needed and the location was quiet and lovely!! The owner was amazing and very polite. We will for sure go to this room again if we visit Meteora again!!!
