Cottage by Rhigos Mountains

The location was superb and easy to find. I was able to access the property using instructions provided by the hosts. Once inside, the property was warm and cosy with everything I needed to prepare food for me and my daughter. The beds were so comfy, it took ages for my daughter to wake up for Saturdays activities, which included mountain biking at the nearby Afan Forest. Parking was easy too with my car being parked very close to the house as well.

Having to leave to return home on the Sunday morning. Genuinely though, there was nothing to criticise.

It was a lovely quiet little house that suited our needs perfectly. The facilities were all in good condition and everything was spotless. The beds and sofas were really comfy as well.

A very minor concern mainly because we are both light sleepers. But the blinds in master bedroom didn't stop enough light for us. Also remember to duck in living room as we both head butted the lamp shades haha

Cosy stay in a beautiful location, hosts were very quick on any questions had everything you need for a short stay, knives were sharp (which is a rarity) and everything you need in the kitchen.

The property was not as pictured. Kitchen extremely cramped, black mould in every room, bathroom tap exceedingly loose, no curtains other than see-through nets in two of the bedrooms, run down area, plasterboard under radiator in living room, tea pot had old tea in it, kitchen draws filthy, microwave stunk, drainer filthy, slug in living room - high standards of cleaning, not very high unfortunately. Extremely disappointed.

This little cottage was decorated to a very high standard. Every room had small details to node and the whole cottage was pristine. The host was very warm and approachable. There are not a lot of places to get dinner in Threherbert but Threorchy is nearby for that, and there is a supermarket within walking distance of the cottage for essentials.

The bed in the master room was very low. This was not an issue to us but it may be something to bear in mind as it may not be everyone's preference. If traveling with the family note that the table in the kitchen is not particularly large.

Beautifully presented and good location, easy parking

Could have been cleaner, toilet brush desperately needs replacing, it’s not pleasant. As others, darker curtains needed in two of the bedrooms.
