Edem Tourist Inn Malapascua

The homeowner was lovely, was at beck and call to our needs, it was one of my parties birthday and they put beers aside for us in a cooler which was lovely.

It saddens me to have to write a review like this as the people were super lovely and helpful, but there were a few things wrong. I was staying here with a group of friends (10 in total) the rooms were very spacious and we had a ground floor terrace room which was nice to have an area outside the door to sit. When we arrived however myself and my friend found 2 ticks on the double bed, they changed the sheets for us but we still felt a little uncomfortable staying there. The shower pressure was terrible you could hardly shower yourself, the water was salt water not fresh water however the showers did go hot. The AC & lights kept going off when we initially got there but after about an hour or 2 they were all working fine. The location is pretty far out from where the restaurants and night life was - about a 20 min walk so the owner helped us rent some bikes out at a reasonable price too. There is also a little private beach which you can use, it's a 2 minute walk from the property which was a nice touch. I would also mention to not leave anything out on the terrace as we did have a few things that were expensive go "missing" and we're never returned to us. All in all it wasn't the worst stay we have experienced however I urge you to check the beds as we all left itchy and 2 members of our group came back with Scabies..

Some of my friends the location always have motorbike to go somewhere. They got tired walking its takes 15min to 30min

Room was big, AC worked well

It is located off a dirt road The staff didn't know the wifi password and when I asked them what it was they looked at me with a stunned look on their face My shorts dropped off the balcony at night on to the bottom floor. They were missing the next day so be careful with your belongings here Staff don't speak English

Very accommodating staff.
