Japandi II Nafplio

All new and luxurious!!

Clean, plenty of coffee and tea. Laundry is available. Even we arrived at midnight, the owner was very helpful to show me where to do laundry.

I really loved the modern and chic minimalist aesthetic (look up “Japandi” to understand the design inspiration!). Everything was impeccably clean and very well-equipped for my stay—it really has everything you need and more. The bed is comfortable, the bedroom is completely dark and it’s very quiet. The neighborhood was great: safe and quiet, beautiful homes, just a block from the waterfront, a grocery store, and a playground / outdoor workout area. It’s a 15 minute walk or short drive to downtown Nafplio. Easy street parking and feels very secure with gated entry, key code to the unit, and sliding metal panels to secure windows at night. There are 3 apartments rented out on the lower level of the property, and the host family lives on the upper floor. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful. It was an excellent value for the price—the kind of place you wish you could live in. Highly recommend!

Overall it was an excellent stay and I really felt at home. There were a few minor issues to be fixed, and a couple of usability aspects that were less than ideal (counter space is very limited in both kitchen and bathroom, bedroom door is awkward). While the kitchen was incredibly well equipped (panini maker, milk frother and extensive set of dishes, just to mention a few), olive oil and a kitchen knife were conspicuously missing. Note the washing machine is not in the apartment, you need to request access to the shared laundry below the host’s place. And plan ahead for a hot shower: it’s a full 30 minutes to heat the water.

It was brand new, only two years old in a quiet neighbourhood. Spacious. More than enough cupboards. Very friendly hosts. Facilities were great inclusive of Dolce Gusto with cups and all. Nice terras. Naflio center 1,6 km away. Very nice and cosy town. Local taxi cost 5 euros single ride! Do not eat on the central square but in de side streets. Do visit the castle. Great view

Everything was perfect. Communication with the host was excellent, check-in was simple and easy. In the fridge, we found bottles of water, a bottle of wine, coffee, and breakfast snacks waiting for us. This apartment has everything, but above all - the most comfortable mattress one could hope for. Three wonderful days in Nafplio, thank you very much!
