Rumah Dharma Boutique Villa

It's beautifully designed and finished, with just six 6 or 7 spacious 1-bedroom villas around a pool and dining area. The design takes inspiration from the nearby Borabodur temple, which is just 10 minutes away on a bicycle, or 5 mins on the back of a scooter. Excellent cooking from the young chef, who makes everything to order, with lots of local dishes available. The location is quiet and peaceful - except for the regular call to prayer blasting from four or five nearby mosques every couple of hours.

It's as if they ran out of money after building the place and couldn't afford to fit it out properly. There's no chair or table in the room, no kettle or mini-fridge/mini-bar. The bedding is cheap and mismatched. No kettle is a problem for English tea drinkers, because the black tea was weak and lukewarm. They use hot water from a thermos, which is fine for green tea or jasmine tea, but useless for English black tea with milk. If they don't want kettles in rooms, maybe they could have a communal tea area with boiling water available. Disappointing, because while room rates are reasonably priced, it's not inexpensive. And odd, because they have two other, larger properties close by, so they're not new to hospitality for international guests.

Nice property, professional staff. Very pleasant stay, will come back if in the area.

An amazing staff 100% dedicated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The set daily menu/ meals were fantastic and for a really good price

Quite location in rice fields, free bike rental, spacious and clean Villas, artistic wood work, sculptures and fountains, and beautiful pool to relax in the heat. Very delicious breakfast and dinner with authentic Indonesian food. Lovely staff, 100% committed to make our stay comfortable. They advised us well organized trips, transfers and laundry. A true indonesian luxury holiday experience.

Tiles on walkways get slippery during the rainy season.

The set daily menu/meal is fantastic. For a really good price. Compared to Bali prices.

The rooms are very basic. Could have had more bed linen. And maybe daily cleaning..?

A stunning, cozy boutique hotel, away from the roads, in a quiet place, surrounded by rice fields. The staff is very friendly, helps with all issues: from washing clothes to buying tickets to the Borobudur Temple. The hotel offers delicious lunches or dinners in the buffet format of national dishes. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the cuisine of the island of Java.

The location is more than perfect. Close to Borobudur temple. The temple is about a 15-minute bike ride from the villa. They have push bikes that can be used for free by the guests. The villa is also about 15 minutes walk from the traditional market. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel, which was fantastic.
