Mockingbird Mountain Spa and Retreat

A beautiful apartment. tastefully presented and very well equipped.

Nothing at all!

The property really exceeded expectations in every sense. The hosts communicated clearly before, during, and after our reservation. Self check-in was easy. There were tons of amenities and perks that I did not even realize were included when we initially reserved (farm fresh eggs waiting for us in the fridge, an extensively stocked kitchen, a SleepNumber bed, a fire pit outside, etc. etc. etc.). Every aspect of our stay felt curated and thoughtful.

I really liked the look and furniture of the apartment, especially the bed (two stiffness/softness adjustable sides), living room (a great couch and fire stove) and kitchen (fully equipped to cook almost every thing you can imagine) which were all superb. The outside hot tub, grill and firepit were fantastic as well. The whole apartment was very clean and we were provided with a lot of towels, bed sheets, blankets etc. Kris and Steve are very welcoming, friendly and helping hosts and elevated our vacation to an unforgettable experience of Virginia.

Everything was great, maybe a small light for the grill area.

My husband & I stayed here for our 13th wedding anniversary. I could not think of one negative thing to say. Everything was furnished. Even dishes to use while cooking. We felt so at home while we were there. We visited Cooters Place and Copper Fox Distillery and had a great time. We watched movies, cooked dinner, had a few drinks & just relaxed. Kris & Steve go above & beyond for their guests. This was our first stay at an Airbnb & it was a great experience.

The property is perfect. The location in the forest is lovely, yet easy to access. The Mockingbird Mountain Spa and Retreat was above our expectations—a real retreat with all facilities, a Jacuzzi outside, giant bad, well-equipped kitchen. We loved everything. Thank you Kris and Steve.
