Mockingbird Mountain Spa and Retreat

The room was very clean, all of the furniture was very comfortable, and the entire retreat made us feel at home. We also liked being able to watch the chickens every day.

There was a cold snap while we were there and the floors got cold quickly. We put on some warm socks and had no more issues.

It was easy to find, exceptionally clean and decorated for autumn. Our hosts were so nice to leave fresh eggs, fresh flowers in all of the rooms and spa music playing when we arrived. Kris set up a massage appointment for me. That was so amazing to go downstairs for the massage and then back up to relax afterward.

I wasn’t able to figure out my sleep number 🛏️ but other than that it was perfect.

I liked how the retreat was so clean and had a comfortable feeling with the way it was decorated. Anything you needed was there and labeled....even reading glasses by the books. Enjoyed looking out at our view and watching the chickens in their pen; we were given fresh eggs. We had a fully equiped kitchen and flowers in three rooms; what a lovely touch. Our upstairs retreat was locked off from the spa downstairs. Perfect in every way.

I can't think of anything which would have made our stay any better...

The hosts thought of everything! The property was stocked with anything we could possibly need and then some, all the way down to fresh flowers in the bedroom and living room. It was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The attention to small details was really impressive. In some ways it was nicer than our own house. (And who doesn’t love a hot tub?)

The only negative was that it isn’t within walking distance to anything. We enjoyed the setting and cooked all our meals there instead of eating out, but if you want to be close to shops or restaurants this place wouldn’t be a great fit.
