Lack of regulated hot water and facility to connect with the front desk via intercom. Also small facilities like providing kettle and self tea making facilities in the room would be nice.

Good place to stay and explore hampi. The Hotel owner and staff are very helpful. They have in-house restaurant which serves lunch and dinner.

Nothing is good about Hotel Varsha Hampi. If you have booked the room online, they will make sure you get a very cheap room. The room we booked was very congested for two people. The washroom was pathetic with very little space to move around. There were a lot of ants and mosquitoes always freely roaming across the room. As the hotel is on the road side, it was always noisy during the night due to vehicles. The ceiling fan was making a rattling noise. The room had no mosquito repellent. There were no proper curtains, a small curtain was put for the name sake that was not even filling the entire window. The cot was making noise even for small turns during the sleep. The entire room environment was so suffocating that we got to cough throughout the night. There was a Street fight in the middle of the night and continued for about 3 hours. The hotel staff didn't even bother about it and were happily sleeping. The room walls are so thin that we were able to listen to the snoring noise of the person sleeping next door. If you had booked the room directly with the hotel, they will charge more and may give you a room in good condition, but the rooms are not at all worth the price they charge. Don't fall for online booking discounts and don't make yourself suffer from the discomfort of staying at such hotels. Also, if you vacate early before the booking period, they unnecessarily charge more. Don't try food at this restaurant, the kitchen racks are filled with a lot of preservative rich sauces and tasting powders. It was a horrible experience and I rate it negative to this hotel. If you book this hotel because it is very near to the main Hampi location, be ready to get all sorts of free discomfort at this hotel.

The rooms were clean and had all essential amenities, the staff were quite helpful -- especially Mr. Vikram (the proprietor of the hotel). Above all, the location of the hotel is excellent -- most of the historical & archeological sites (commonly referred to as "the Hampi Ruins") are within 2-3 km. from the hotel, and the Virupaksha Temple is appx. 5 km. away.

The variety of the available menus (for lunch and dinner) could be better. Having said that, the food quality was good.
