Sea House

Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Das Bett war sehr bequem mit spannender Aussicht. Das Bad war riesig.

Das Haus war leider sehr dreckig. Das Sofa war voller Sand. Das Haus roch unangenehm nach Hund und Hundefutter. Die Küche war aufgrund der mangelnden Ausstattung (Tiefe Teller od. Schalen, Wassergläser) kaum zu gebrauchen. Die Pfannen, Topf, Pfannenwender waren total verdreckt, sodass man vor dem Kochen erst mal spülte. Es war uns nicht mal möglich, ein Brot zu schmieren, da keine Messer da waren. Dadurch, dass die offene Treppe direkt über die Küchenzeile geführt wird, war die Küche mit Dreck verschmutzt, der von der Treppe in die Töpfe fallen konnte. Mhmm. Es war entgegen der Angaben im Exposé kein Esstisch vorhanden, lediglich ein Couchtisch. Im Bad fehlte es an Abstell- und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Im Seifenspender befand sich lediglich Wasser mit Spuren an Seifenresten. Der Spiegel war seltsam beschmiert. In der Wohnung gab es keine Ablageflächen oder Schränke.

Great location – right by the forest with walking paths and close to the sea. The house was very clean, with a comfortable bed and a kitchen to cook in. We enjoyed the peaceful town and the bicycle path that leads to many beautiful places. The hosts were always available and ready to help.

Some basic household things were missing – soup bowls, water glasses, and simple cooking utensils. We also missed a shower mat, a way to clean the house ourselves, and a wardrobe or space to store clothes. (When we asked for a broom, the hosts kindly brought it to us.) Because of the humid weather, nothing dried indoors, and there was no good place to dry towels or beach things. Outdoor furniture was always wet, so a small covered terrace would be a big plus. These are really just small, practical details that can easily be fixed and did not spoil our mood – we managed without them. My daughter already said she would love to come back next year.

The house seems to be new in a good location, the parking place is available just next to the house.

Bed coverings look like they were used too many times and/or not clean enough. They deserve some replacing. Sofa bed is not cleaned well, there is a lot of sand in groves and dirt/dust under the materaces. The bathroom is big but there is no place to put clothing or cosmetics, everything needs to be placed on the floor.

The space was very clean and completely minimalist. I really liked that simplicity. The second reason was the area: I wanted a place that was close to everything, within walking distance — here is about 10 minutes to the city center, nice cafés, and also 15 mins to the beach. While staying with my friend, we discovered an alternative path behind the fence which led to the end of the river, giving access to a very clean and empty beach area.

Firstly, you should know that when you first find the spot, it might look small compared to the huge villas of the neighbors — this is not a villa, just a small solid wooden cabin with a pitched roof. Secondly, you should know that there are neighbors close by. Thirdly, the property is fenced, the area is limited and divided by a fence. You need to use a back door to reach the rest of the forest.
